Toxic Organic Exposure Profile:
Because exposure to environmental pollutants has been linked to many chronic diseases, The Great Plains Laboratory has created GPL-TOX, a toxic organic exposure profile that screens for the presence of 172 different toxic chemicals including organophosphate pesticides, phthalates, benzene, xylene, vinyl chloride, pyrethrin insecticides, and others. This profile also includes Tiglyglycine (TG), a marker for mitochondrial disorders resulting from mutations of mitochondrial DNA. These mutations can be caused by exposure to toxic chemicals, infections, inflammation, and nutritional deficiencies.
Toxic Elements Screen
A screen for toxic metals using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) for 18 nutritional and toxic elements (aluminium, antimony, arsenic, barium, beryllium, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, copper, lead, manganese, mercury, molybdenum, nickel, selenium, thallium, tin and zinc).
Instructions & Shipping
Both tests are urine tests. No dietary changes are required.
Both test kits will be shipped to you within 7-10 days.
You simply provide two urine samples (full instructions included in test kits) and then return them back to the lab within 24-48 hours.
If you are in the US then one test kit will go to a lab in the US and the other other to a lab in London.
If you are in Europe then both test kits will go to the lab in London.
